Natural green juice is cucumber, green apple, celery, pineapple, spinach, lemon juice, and an optional seeded green chili blended with cold water, first at medium and then at high speed, until smooth. It takes 10 minutes and serves 2.
A popular, filling drink made mostly with green fruits and vegetables.
How to Make Green Juice?
Balance the ingredients: celery, cucumber, chard, spinach, kale, lettuce, pineapple, apple, melon, and even chili all work. Sweet fruit offsets the earthy greens.

Natural Green Juice Recipe
Preparation: 10 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 350 ml (1½ cups) of cold water
- 100 g (3½ oz) of pineapple slices
- 6 spinach leaves
- 1 cucumber
- 1 green apple
- 1 celery stalk
- 1 lemon
- 1 green chili (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the spinach, cucumber, apple, and celery well. Cut the cucumber and celery into thick slices and quarter and core the apple.

- In a blender, combine the cucumber, apple, celery, pineapple, lemon juice, spinach, and the seeded chili if using, and pour in the cold water. Blend at medium speed, then at high until smooth.

- Check the consistency and add more water if needed. Serve right away, with extra ice if you like; you can refrigerate it, but drink it the same day.
Additional Tips
Wash well
The ingredients are blended with their skins, so wash them thoroughly; a rinse with water and a little vinegar is enough.
Balance the flavor
If spinach or celery dominate, add more pineapple or apple; lemon also cuts bitterness.
Cold ingredients
Chilled fruit and vegetables make a fresher juice without much ice.
Drink it fresh
Vitamins degrade with light and air, so drink it soon.
| Original ingredient | Substitute | Ratio | Flavor note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spinach | Kale | 3 leaves | Stronger flavor |
| Pineapple | Melon | 100 g | Milder |
| Water | Coconut water | 350 ml | Sweeter |
| Green chili | Fresh ginger | 1 slice | Spicy warmth |
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Is a blender or a juicer better?
A blender keeps all the fiber, which slows the absorption of natural sugars. A juicer removes the pulp for faster absorption but less satiety.
2. Can I make it the night before?
It is best fresh to avoid losing light and air sensitive vitamins. If you must store it, use a dark, well sealed glass container for up to 24 hours.
3. What if it tastes too earthy?
Add a little more pineapple or green apple; lemon juice also helps clean up bitter flavors.
4. Why wash the skins so well?
Because the ingredients are blended with their skins to keep fiber and vitamins, it is important to remove any residue or wax.
Benefits of Green Juice
Green juice provides vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin K, iron, calcium, and potassium, and, when blended, plenty of fiber for healthy digestion.
Did You Know?
The green color of fruits and vegetables comes from chlorophyll, the pigment plants use to capture sunlight and turn it into energy.
